Dr. Aisha Hamdani Shedafa is the doctor at Rwabwere Dispensary, which serves more than 400 clients, and has played a key role in improving health data management through the use of the CTC2 Database system.
Through capacity building supported by MDH in collaboration with the Government of Tanzania, Dr. Aisha was trained and empowered to independently enter accurate and timely client data into the system. This support enabled her to improve data quality and strengthen service delivery at the facility. “I can now enter data independently without requiring assistance and generate reports as needed,” said Dr. Aisha Hamdani Shedafa.
In addition, she extended this knowledge by training other government health workers at the dispensary, ensuring sustainability and continuity of data entry even in her absence. The ongoing collaboration between MDH and the Government has provided essential training, mentorship, and technical support, which have been critical in achieving these improvements.
As a result, Rwabwere Dispensary now manages its health data independently, accurately, and on time demonstrating the importance of empowering frontline health workers to own and manage their data systems.
This achievement highlights Dr. Aisha Hamdani Shedafa as a role model in digital health innovation and underscores the value of strong partnerships in strengthening health information systems and improving healthcare delivery.
